Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Mia Verdoorn’s love for music started early on. Mia to begin to draw notable attention, and at the age of 16, she began recording with prominent music figures in her home country, finding herself working alongside producers for shows such as Idols, and South Africa’s Got Talent. She attended Berklee College of Music where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music degree, double majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Business.
Acclaimed by The Boston Globe, Mia has starred at the famous Agganis Arena in Boston, MA, at the Jounieh International Festival in Lebanon openign for the legendary late singer Johnny Halliday, and at the Atterbury Theater in Pretoria, South Africa, just to name a few.
She moved to Lebanon in 2013 and became the afternoon drive-time host of the popular radio show “Jammin’ with Mia” on Light FM Lebanon (90.5).
